I'm studying how independent food and travel newsletter creators run their businesses.

This is what I'm working on right now: sitting down with food and travel newsletter creators to understand how an issue actually comes together — what takes the time, what's working, and what isn't.

I'm interviewing around twenty creators over the coming weeks, starting July 2026. These are short conversations — about twenty minutes — and there is nothing for sale at the end of them. Everyone who participates receives the full aggregated findings: what your peers do, what they've tried, and what's paying off.

I treat food and travel as two separate groups, and I won't draw a conclusion about either until I've stopped hearing new things. If that takes more conversations than I planned, it takes more conversations.

If you've received an email from me, it came from a real person who reads your newsletter — not from a list or a sequence.

I'm publishing my questions as I go: The questions I'm taking into this research →
